Size is right and only the front gets warm. Great for closed spaces and you don't worry about catching anything on fire. Only downside is it doesn't put out quite as much heat as you would like. Takes away the chill, but does not keep you as toasty as you might like.

This certainly isn't marketed at people with a knowledge of thermodynamics. It advertises that it uses 1/10 the heat of a space heater, but that means it also puts out 1/10 of the heat. As as space heater I can see this thing being pretty poor because of its low heat output, but It worked perfectly for my application. I used it for a makeshift kotatsu (a Japanese heated table) It works great for that because you don't want 1000 watts cooking your feet. Its really thin, and it won't burn you if you hit it with your knee. It was a tad difficult to mount upside-down. I cut out some wooden mounting blocks and screwed it directly into the bottom of the table. They give you velcro to mount it vertically, which is a joke considering how heavy it is.

Update - 1-8-2010 -- There is a way to use this so that it is somewhat effective. One needs to turn it on about an hour before needing it. If the panel is located under your desk, so that it's in a relatively enclosed area, and if it's allowed to heat the air there for an hour or so, it does indeed help with the chill. It's not great, but it is a help. I would now give it three stars rather than the two of the first review. ----- I should have paid more attention to J. Tunnell's review. It is spot on. This panel delivers very little heat. I once had a panel that delivered more and assumed this one would be similar. So read J. Tunnell's review at least twice. Believe it. If you then order this, you've only yourself to blame.

I ordered a new one from Ace hardware, but instead they shipped me a used one. A damaged used one. The back of the unit was almost falling off. There was paperwork accompanying it from the previous purchaser stating that they had received it damaged, but they just shipped it out again anyway, and claiming it was new! Overall, the absolute WORST experience I have ever had shopping online thus far.

I bought several of these for the office staff, everyone was delighted as it provides just enough heat to take away the drafty winter feeling. When opening one package I found they had omitted the velcro mounting adhesive. I attempted to contact them by email to request that it be mailed to me, using the email address provided in the directions, but received the reply that my email had been unopened and deleted. Other than that, this is a great product.

I purchased fleece throws for family members for Christmas -- 7 in all, various types -- and this was the best. Arrived very quickly -- well before others. Good size (58"x72") for large nephew. Nice rich color (forest green) and very warm with two-ply construction. Also got e-mail prompt from seller asking me to review, which I am happy to do. Very pleased with this gift, as is giftee.

This blanket is soft and warm. My only problem with it, knowing it's a throw blanket, is how small it is. If it were even a little bit wider I'd give it 5 stars.

Love the warmer - much better than using the microwave and playing the guessing game. The wax in this kit is top quality, you do not need any strips. Wax adheres to your hair and not your skin, it is also very easy to remove without any residue. I am very pleased with this kit. It made it very easy for me to do a Brazilian waxing at home. Money well spent for me and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to wax at home.

Just ordered this kit because I was tired of getting bad waxes - most of the local places use the sticky wax for bikini waxes and I've left the salon more than one with my underwear glued to my butt or worse. I've had waxes in other cities that were great and the main difference is that they used hard wax. Don't be put off by the "brazilian" name - you can go as modest as you like or remove everything. The key is that this kit includes the hard wax - no strips needed - and this product is so much more gentle than the sticky wax! And FWIW, I'm 6.5 months pregnant right now so if I was able to pull this off and not be in terrible pain it can't be that tough. I'm sure it'll get logistically more difficult towards the end of my pregnancy but I'm still hoping to wax at home rather than get shaved at the hospital or pay for a crappy and painful job at the salon before I deliver. For me, it was great to do this in the privacy of my own home and get exactly the results I want. The kit contained everything I needed but I will say it's always a good idea to wash hands and the area to be waxed thoroughly with antibacterial soap before you get started (again, something they don't generally do at a salon and the cleansers they do use can be really harsh and irritating with all of the alcohol). Other products may be nice to add to the routine, but this kit certainly has the essentials.

I couldn't decide between 1 star and 5 stars, so I went with 3. As a waxing kit that contains everything you need, this one is 5 stars. The warmer keep the wax at the perfect tempurature. The wax is extremely effective at removing hair. I love hard wax. For those of you unaware, you should know that Brazilian hard wax actually hurts a lot less than cream waxes because it clings to the hair only and not the skin. Yes, pulling your hair out from the roots is painful, but it less painful when you don't have a layer of skin coming along with it. It left my legs very smooth and even removed short hairs. As a hair removal process, this system gets 1 star. I've done every type of hair removal (professional waxing, shaving, eplilators, depilatory creams, etc.). I really want to get laser hair removal, but that it not an option for my legs as my hair is blonde. I had been epilating, but it takes a long time. I thought wax would be faster. Boy was I wrong! I seriously underestimated how difficult it would be to do a home wax. Of course I missed lots of places. I had to go over the missed places again, which meant it took the entire thing of wax to just do my lower legs. I challenge anyone out there to wax the back of your own leg without making an enormous mess. Sitting on the tile floor in my bathroon for 2 hours made my behind and knees really sore. I also had an amazing amount of wax left on my legs. After much scrubbing, my legs look and felt nice, but I've come to the conclusion that if you want something waxed, it really is worth paying a professional. Maybe if I tried this a dozen more times I would get better at it.

These leg warmers are just top notch - truly elegant. Not sure how well they will wear yet because I haven't had them long enough, but they sure are lovely. The reason they look extremely slouchy on the model is that she has either petite and/or skinny legs. Those of us with meatier legs will have a closer fit. But even though I have big calves, they are still somewhat slouchy on me - any slouchier, and they might not fit well under my jeans. And they do lay well over the tops of my shoes - which is a look that I love. They feel just fine texture-wise. If they were slinkier, they might fall down more easily. I'm buying more.

I like these leg warmers, I like the look and the feel of them. I thank the person purchased these for me very much.

These are a little scratchy against your skin. And they do not really look the same as those worn by the model. They are not "cable-knit"; the weave is much tighter. I bought these because I have trouble finding leg warmers in stores, but I prefer softer, slouchier ones.

I love these leg warmers. I have them in 3 colors. Very comfortable and warm.

Got these for our daughter, who is a freshman at very cold/snowy Oswego State (I was drawn to them by my memories of my own leg warmers from the late 70's/early 80's)! She loves the retro look, plus they do help keep her warm as she trudges from class to class! Only downside was we had to get her new "skinny leg" jeans to complement the look! Good quality; great color, hold their elasticity well, and very prompt delivery. No dancing genes in this family, but we would definitely consider doing business with KD dance again...

I am really satisfied with my purchase of these leg warmers. I was afraid they would be sliding down my legs but they really hold up! The colors are true to their pictures and the fabric seems quite sturdy, I got just what I wanted!

I use these for dancing when the room is too cold,and also underneath clothing in the winter. These are very warm. The do slide down, but that is to be expected. The product looks nice. There is really not much more to say about them other than that they are comfortable.

As others have noted in their reviews, these ARE a bit scratchy. Over pantyhose or tights however they are warm,and oh so long .

The leg warmers are great, comfortable, but after I have worn them for few times it was dificult to keep them in place. Otherwise I am happy with them

I live in Mass where it gets so cold in the winter. These leg warmers are great. They look good and will keep you warm when it's freezing out. You have to wear tights under them because they are a little itchy. If you plan on buying these to wear on bare legs then I would suggest getting leg warmers of a softer material. :)

These leg warmers are very warm and made with very comfortable, warm yarn; however, they had a hard time staying up on my thighs.

A little pricey but my daughter can't wear them without getting lost of positive comments from people.

I purchased the pink/yellow stripe for my 10-month-old. She is 28 inches, 21 lbs; and she is in the 90th percentile for height and the 85th percentile for weight so she isn't super chunky. The little leg warmers are a really cute idea, and she looks adorable when I first put them on her. But they are too tight to cover the top of her thighs. They stop about an inch above the knee. Then, as she is crawling, they roll down until they are below her knees. At this point, they are just flash-dance leg warmers that aren't helpful at all. Her knees and thighs are exposed so they aren't keeping her warm or protecting her knees as she crawls. I give them 5 stars for the cuteness factor, but their poor utility brings my ranking down to 3.

These are great. Just get the right size and pull them all the way up and wear under your tights. And they will stay on.

I am 52yr 6'1" 235lb I tried leg warmers but found them uncomfortable. So I tried knee warmers and I am quite satified. There is plenty of free movement and when properly fitted they don't fall down. I just needed somthing to cut the wind and these are good for keeping my legs toasty.

i really want to like these...but like other reviewers have expressed, they don't stay on. i don't have any issues with them running down to my ankles, but the elastic part up at my thighs keep falling down. one reviewer advised to order one size smaller. i'm curious as to whether or not this will make them stay on. i may buy them again in a smaller size to see.

Good product overall. Nice weight and warmth. I would order a full size down from whatever size shorts you wear, unless you have linebacker knees. Also, FYI, these will only stay up if you put them on first, then shorts second, so that the shorts go over the top of the warmers and hold them up. They will not stay up on their own.

They must be pulled high enough on your thigh to keep from falling down, which I didn't realize the first time I used them. The lower part should be at the top of your calf muscle. Anyway, I felt pretty dumb the first time I used them. The things fell down by my ankles and or I was constantly pulling them up. So for idiots like me need instructions (there were none) which should be printed in large type.
